I didn't think Philly would do it, but now that it's 2-2, Philly has a shot to go all the way. The experience of Philly gives them the edge. Either Philly or Boston will rep the East, but I'm not going to overlook the Hornets. The have good inside presence and if Mashburne comes back all bets are off.
As for the West, I'm not betting against the Lakers but Dallas has a good shot at them as well as the Kings. In a seven game series, it's hard to imagine Dallas having enough defense to contain the Lakers combined with the Lakers good defensive game.

But Dallas can do it if they can play a "little" defense. If the Kings get on a roll, they'll get past Dallas and with home court advantage, they have a shot at the Lakers as well. I'd like to see either Dallas or the Kings rep the west in the finals but smart money backs the Lakers.

I hate the term "home court advantage"

West:
I can see Dallas or the Lakers, I dont think the kings will get past Dallas, If they had a hard time getting past Utah, what are they going to do against Dallas (who has more weapons than Utah). Lakers are the Lakers, but I dont like them.....I really dont like them, but they have the talent, and the skills for a dynasty.

East:
I wouldve said New Jersey last month, but they bearly got past Indiana, and I dont think they could handle Boston. Should they play Philly, I can see NJ in the eastern conference finals against Detroit (no disrespect to the hornets).

Wouldnt it be dope to see the Lakers against the Celtics in the finals renewing the rivalry

i have to say the dallas mav. and the new jersey nets. I think that the lakers are under achievers. i know they have all of that talent, so they should have won the most games this year. and the east is in a rebuilding stage.

West: Lets say the Lakers. Dallas is the only team that can keep up with them in scoreing, but defense will decide who comes out on top. Lakers know when to turn it up, and take over.

East: I can't tell, but either NJ or PA will take it. But who knows with this series.

What I'd like to see if Grant Hill give up half his salery and call it quits. Also Ewing give it up too. So Orlando can get a good big guy in the middle. Thats what I'd like to see.

The Sixers are already gone but they are still going to the finals. If they don't I wouldn't mind seeing the Celtics there even though I hate the Celtics now because they beat the Sixers.

As far as the west goes I would like to see Dallas there. I like the Kings but I think that Dallas' high powered offense would be able to contain L.A. Unless S.A. pulls an upset I see Dallas and the Lakers in the Western Finals and hopefully Dallas knocks them out.

Since the two teams that I care about in the east are gone, (Philly, Orlando) I'm rooting for a western team, the Mavs, even though I don't like them either. I just really hate Boston, NJ, and the Hornets. I don't hate Detroit but I just don't care too much about them.

GO SIXERS!!!

Well, this weekend shedded some light on the things. NJ handled the hornets but that series will probably go the distance. As well as the Kings and Mavs... they handled the Mavs in the first game but we all know the Mavs will shoot better than in game 1.

SA bitched out like they normally do against the Lakers. If you can't win with Shaq and Kobe hurting, you can't win at all. 4-1 Lakers.

Detroit looked good, but Boston did shoot like hell. I can't call that series but my heart is with Boston.

Unfortunately, the Sixers were eliminated by Boston, so we won't be there for the East. But between the Celtics and the Nets, I am going to give the edge to NJ because I really don't want to see Boston go all the way( wait til next season when they come to Philly ITS WAR!!) But for the West lets be realistic, the Lakers will be at the NBA Finals. Portland couldn't handle it, San Antonio bitched up and Sacramento is too damn emotional.( And how many Black people do they have on their team, two???)

East:
After game 1 I talked to a few Nets fan's and they we're just too happy. I told them "hey, talk to detroit fans and asked them what happened when Boston lost the first game". Boston will take the series in 6, nothing against New Jersey, but they had a hell of a time beating Indiana (Who Boston is better than) and the hornets never had a real chance against NJ, I think we all knew that.

West:
Lakers have not been dominating the west during the playoffs, with the exception of game 1 against the Kings. Seeing the fact that having three black players on their team has nothing to do with it, the Kings will give the Lakers a little run, meaning that they might win one more game. It wont be easy wins for the Lakers but they will take the series in 6.

Lakers vs Boston in the Finals.

Finals Prediction:
Boston will give LA problems, and If Walker and Pierce can score well above their averages night in and night out we could see new champs.

Boston in 7
