It looks pretty cool from what I saw. They don't look like a scam (but then again the best ones never do!). Do they want any money? I saw some $20 processing fee. That's not too bad. But be careful before they try to get you to pull out the checkbook. And never sign anything to be exclusive!

Please save your money and take a trip to NY to visit the agencies.
I have been to there conventions, they cost several hundred dollars.
They make a lot of money off peoples hopes, I saw people there who definitely didn't "have what it takes".
I did get some interest from agencies, but in the end the agents asked me to send more pictures and keep in touch. I could have done that for the price of stamps.
I'm older and wiser now and I've learned my lesson.
I should have spent that money on a ticket to NYC or LA and saw the agents face to face.

So MsZambia? Are you saying that you've already been to one of MSA's Regional Reviews? They normally have it in Rochester, Newyork. You've went to one already? Get @ me!

They have reviews in many different regions. This is how it goes.
You go to the free assessment where they either invite you to the big conference or send you home.
If you are invited to the conference, they give you all the paper work. The big conference costs hundreds of $$$, not including accomadations and food.
At the conference you spend a full day listening to seminars that give you some info about the modeling industry. The info is okay, but somewhat glossed over.
On the second day you do a runway walk for all the judges to see, after that you show them 2 pictures.
After all that is done, the agents call back the handful of individuals they want to see.
If you get a callback, the agents have you sit down with them for a minute. Ask you some details, height/age/ weight etc.
Then, most likely they will ask you to send somemore pictures to them.
It is highly unlikely that you will get signed on the spot.
When I was there the only people who really got "signed"on the spot were 15 years old and caucasian. Really, that is the reality of MSA.
I have been 2 times, once as a hopeful, the other time as an observer ( a friend was trying it).
Please, please, please save your money and go the old fashioned route.
I know the MSA people will flatter you to death, and they are nice people, however they run a business. They want your $$$.
If you need advice on how to get started the old fashioned way, I'll be glad to help.
I'm pretty knowledgable on the subject.
