Here's mine:
Actors
1. Robert DeNiro
Oh my goodness....Godfather series, Untouchables, Casino, Heat, Analyze This, Wag The Dog, The Fan, Meet the Parents, Men of Honor...and I could go on and on. He CRUSHES every role he's in. MY FAVORITE!
2. Samuel L. Jackson
He's funny, witty, and got this 'I don't give a damn' attitude that only he can pull off. From comedy to action to dramas he's more versatile and entertaining than any actor to me.
Actresses:
1. Julia Roberts
I used to want to hate on her after Pretty Woman (I just thought it was sappy and unreal), but she definitely got a way of making you feel the character she's playing. She's good with the emotional roles (see Sleeping With the Enemy, Stepmom, Notting Hill, etc).
2. Angela Bassett
As Jay-Z would say..."you just one hit away". I don't think they give "Anna Mae" good roles, but when she gets them she does her thing (What's Love Got To Do With It, Boyz In the Hood, Malcolm X, The Score, Waiting To Exhale). She's got that elegance, maturity, and power. She just needs to get that role that really gets everyone's attention. Ain't nothin' like a strong Black woman...except for when she's torching a car!
3. Honorable mention (my rookie of the year)-Sanaa Lathan
I love this girl ya'll. I think she's gonna be the next generation of top Black female actresses....just watch!
