What do you think about a "ladies room" forum. I see that males mostly post and respond, a forum dedicated to female oriented topics: relations, love bad sex ect. (not to sound sexist) may promote more consistant feminine activity on the boards.
Just a suggestion.

I feel you. There's been a lot of threads by and started for women in the general forum. Very interesting ones in fact ;). The ladies will definitely voice their opinion if it's a topic that hits home and be certain that the guys on here have some very, um, "entertaining" perspectives on men/women relationships, etc.

I think it's an idea that would work with the ladies that are active in conversations on this board. It may encourage the other women who have registered to be a little more involved.

Ladies Room:
I have only written a few horror stories and this was one of them :
Meeting in the Lady’s Room
The Horrible Secret
A.K.A.’s:
In 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority became America's first Greek-letter organization established by Black college women. Her roots date back to Howard University, Washington, D.C., where the idea for formation was conceived by Ethel Ledgeman Lyle of St. Louis, Missouri. She viewed the Sorority as an instrument for enriching the social and intellectual aspects of college life by providing mental stimulation through interaction with friends and associates. Through the years, however, Alpha Kappa Alpha's function has become more complex. After her incorporation as a perpetual body in 1913, Alpha Kappa Alpha gradually branched out and became the channel through which selected college-trained women improved the socioeconomic conditions in their city, state, nation, and the world. These are the ladies in the beautiful “Pink and Green”
A DELTA’S:
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority was founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two collegiate women at Howard University. These students wanted to use their collective strength to promote academic excellence and to provide assistance to persons in need. The first public act performed by the Delta Founders involved their participation in the Women's Suffrage March in Washington, D.C., March 1913. Delta Sigma Theta was incorporated in 1930. These are the ladies in the dynamic
“Crimson and Creme”
Accepted history is usually pristine and very worthy of praise and honor unless of course the historian(s) intends to demonize the subject under consideration. G-Man and I have an affection however for what the noted radio commentator Paul Harvey calls “the rest of the story” those little know facts that most scholars dismiss as “folklore and urban legend.” I’m about to
share a tale that would have fallen into those categories for me as well accepts that I saw it with my own eyes.
Though frowned on in every official Greek circle hazing and fighting involving pledges have been happening on every campus since the beginning. Sometimes the women are worse than the men; what the female mind when corrupted can come up with frightens even the basest male.
Both the DELTA’s and the A.K.A.’s are known for producing women of color who distinguish themselves in society and since the arrival of the DELTA’s on the Howard University campus in 1913 a friendly rivalry has ensued. America has always encouraged friendly competition publicly and privately lauded even mercenary tactics between business and organizations.
When the Battle Clan was contacted to organize a “Champion’s No Holds Barred, No Submission, 3 Ordeal, Winner Take All (unless there is a draw), Lady’s Room Match G-Man and I just laughed out loud as we envisioned two Debs in their ball dresses slap boxing and hair pulling until someone brook a nail. Imagine we the premier promoters of feminine combat in the western hemisphere, two black men “in the know” had no idea that our two most famous black sororities had organized girl fights since 1930. Well I had know clue G-Man had heard rumors but nothing was confirmed until the call.
Evidently territory had to be established between the two organizations. A.K.A. was the most elite group and really only sought after the elite to join them hence their membership was limited. Most of the power and influence they obtained was because they are smart, great organizers and they “married well” besides they were the first. A.K.A.’s believed from the very start that they could have it all.
DELTA’S wanted to uplift the working class and a few of the poor, to a higher station also they sought financial and social power and independence for their members and women in society in general. DELTA’S were and are willing to sacrifice relationships and family in order to succeed.
Both groups took different yet necessary stances for the race and their gender to go forward and had our utmost respect; but fighters?! Well anyway, they fought down through the years on just about every college campus where they existed, some official and others because of general rivalry. But this was to be the “big one “
Many A.K.A.’s as I said tended to marry well and their husbands were some of the most powerful black men in the country, unfortunately at their request the men would sometimes block the strides that the independent DELTA’s would try to make in business , education and politics. Some DELTA’s would respond by sleeping with their men to regain some influence; one might say big deal they disgraced themselves and became common scuts however it was not that simple. Not only were DELTA’s astute in the boardroom, brilliant in the classroom and forceful in the rooms of the various parliamentary House floors, allegedly they were magical in the bedroom and could get anything they wanted. If you remember Lea Racon’s character “Sunshine” in the Eddie Murphy’s film “Harlem Nights”, it was like that.
The unrest among the black elite was intolerable and “the matter had to be settled once and for all” so said the “Grand Arbon of the Alpha Bole’”, he also said that it was a matter that ‘the women had to settle among themselves “fairly and with honor”. In past skirmishes when there was a ‘one on one’ confrontation the ALPHA’S would complain that the DELTA’s were cheating by using “ringers” , pro fighters who were not even Soros, drug induced females and even she-male(hermaphrodites). When they fought in groups DELTA’S accuse the ladies in the beautiful “pink n green” of increasing their numbers at the last minute with imported Sorors and even bringing in gang members to tip the balance. All these accusation were unsubstantiated.
That is where the battle clan came in , we were to be facilitators; doing complete background checks on both ladies making sure they were not recent recruits , checking the combatants for drugs, physical enhancements or anomalies and foreign objects.
To be continued
